If you are looking for a legitimate home business, there are a few factors that you would want to consider. It is wise to do your due diligence, will not offer you a real chance to earn substantial income.
These are the 3 factors that matter most for me after being in the home business industry for a couple of years:
1. The reputation of the company- You can just get so much information on Google nowadays to get the real news on any business opportunity there is unless they are in pre-launch and brand new. Prior to signing on the dotted line with any opportunity, do spend an hour or so on Google reading various reviews just to get a general understanding of what others are saying about the business opportunity.
I recommend that you look for reputable leaders to follow, as they will be far less likely to lead you down the wrong path where you end up in a home business in which you are losing more money than you're making. You can look for leaders that endorse the company or better yet,the actual founders of the company. Just make sure that the leader you are interested in following is a stand-up person. (My first experience in network marketing was when I wanted to join the team of a really successful author in a huge network marketing company. This experience ended pretty negatively for me, and I still have a negative impression of that leader for a number of reasons).
2. The quality of the product or service- This ties into point number one, but you want to make sure you join with an opportunity that you can truly get on board that you're passionate about. I am always astonished by how many people join a home business just for the allure of the money without really thinking if they have a real connection with the product or service that the company is offering. This is incredibly common.
What these people don't realize is that you'll never get rich just passing money around in a company. You have to find a company who has a mission that you can be proud of and a service that has value beyond the price. To be more honest about it, this is where many people get blocked because there are so many network marketing companies charging double than what they should for their product or service in order to keep the multi-level system intact.
3. Marketing Support- Once you find a good company with a solid product, you are not quite destined for success yet. About 90% of your success in the home business industry boils down to your marketing skills. Poor marketing skills will lead to very little money. If you have well-developed marketing skills, you can pretty much write your own ticket and you'll never have to worry about money again.
When you join a home business, you want to make sure that the marketing training you'll be receiving is structured, systematic, and highly effective. If it is not, you'll be duplicating a methodology that is unsuccessful.
In conclusion, a legitimate home business is one with a reputable company, a valuable product and an efficient training system. You always want to evaluate various opportunities through these 3 criterias. And if you do, then there is a tremendous chance you'll be arriving at an informed decision .
